Electric Brixton
Electric Brixton, located in the heart of Brixton, South London, is a legendary music venue with a rich history dating back to the 1930s. Originally a cinema and theatre, the venue has undergone several transformations over the decades, becoming a popular spot for live music in the 1980s.
In its early days as a music venue, Electric Brixton hosted performances by numerous iconic acts, including The Clash, The Smiths, and The Police. Today, it continues to be a sought-after destination for artists across various genres, from rock and metal to electronic and hip-hop. I’ve had the privilege of capturing incredible performances at Electric Brixton by bands like the gothic rock pioneers Death Cult, the Brazilian metal legends Sepultura, and the eclectic gipsy punk Gogol Bordello, among others.
